Exporters to Gabon Will Soon Require a Certificate of Conformity for Customs Clearance

From 1st August 2015 goods being exported to Gabon will require a CoC to pass customs

The Agence Gabonnaise de Normalisation (AGANOR) in Gabon , Central Africa, is to enforce its Conformity Assessment Programme “PROGEC” (Programme Gabonais d Evaluation de la Conformité) from 1st August 2015 following the signing of the necessary Governmental decree.

The PROGEC programme verifies the conformity of all regulated products in the respective exporting countries, ensuring they comply with applicable national, regional or international standards and technical regulations, protecting the health, safety and environment of Gabon’s citizens from sub standard imported goods. Exporters to Gabon are required to provide a Certificate of Conformity for Customs clearance.

Intertek, with its global network of over 1000 offices and laboratories, has been approved by the Agence Nationale de Vérification de Conformité aux Normes (AVCN) to support the implementation of NCAP, Niger’s Conformity Assessment Programme, put in place to protect consumers from sub-standard products and goods.
