Ghanaian Government to Conclude EPA by Early 2014

Minister of Trade & Industry Urges Ghanaians to Diversify Their Export Strategy

Mr Haruna Iddirsu revealed at GEPA’s National Exporters’ Forum that the Economic Partnership Agreement with the EU will be brought to an end in the first quarter of 2014. The deal was created to enable Ghana to export its commodities into the European market, whilst European countries could send 80% of their goods to Ghana, duty free. Mr Haruna Iddirsu called for exporters to diversify their export portfolio.
