Nigeria-China Bilateral Trade Hits $13bn in 2013

Chinese ambassador says trade has doubled in 4 years

Deng Boqing, Chinese ambassador to Nigeria, said trade volumes between Nigeria and China, almost reached $13bn in the last year. The comments were made during a reception held for him in Abuja. Boqing added:

Last year (2013) trade volume was almost double of that of four years ago according to statistic trade value between the two countries is almost $13 billion…

We encourage the Chinese companies to do their business especially establishing factories in Nigeria in order to increase job opportunities For Nigerians, and industrialize products for Nigerians

Nigerian senator Ibrahim Mantu added that 70% of Nigeria’s development is being spearheaded by China.
