Nigeria Leaps in World Bank’s Doing Business Ranking

Positive trend continues amongst African countries

In newly released data from the World Bank, Nigeria has been ranked higher by 24 places than last year. Concerns many foreign companies have about entering African markets remain, not least a cultural barrier, infrastructure development requirements and the ease transferring money out of the country.

However, high perceived “risks” are also indicators of opportunity. So with Nigeria heading in the right direction, foreign entities looking to back a winner could do worse than considering Nigeria as their first foray into the Sub-Saharan Market.
